Sphira Robotics is the name of a capstone project made by a group of Mechanical Engineering seniors at the University of California, Berkeley. Sphira Robotics designed and built a spherical drive robot, inspired by the BB-8 droid seen in Star Wars, Episode 7: The Force Awakens.

Over the course of the semester, the team overcame several challenges in areas including design, mechanical dynamics, prototyping, and controls and stabilization. 

Some of the key highlights of our project include our proprietary Holonomic (sphere) drive, head stablization, video recording capabilities, and remote controlled actuation.
